An all-woman creative collective


As women who have worked in creative industries, we discovered a shared passion to change the way women and mothers in particular are represented and recognised in the media and at work. We are working mums and friends and have supported each other as our kids have grown.
The branding needed to reflect that. A strong monogram with friendly flourishes in stand out colours.

The brand colours are tangerine and vivid blue with backgrounds including feathers and ferns.
These design elements were used across stationary and web designs. The colours where further used in MOI’s MotherWorks campaign.


A little bit more about Mothers of Invention

We were so inspired by Sarah Olney, MP’s International Women's Day speech in 2017, about celebrating the everyday achievements of mums, we decided to add our skills to the growing group of women, campaigning for gender equality. And that we would focus on working mothers like us. 54,000 women a year are being pushed out of their jobs for getting pregnant and many more are facing discrimination and a lack of the flexible options they need to fit work around child care. We wanted to celebrate working mums and the amazing contribution they make to our economy and our families and communities.

#MotherWorks has developed into a unique, engaging photography event hosted and sponsored by organisations across the UK to support workplace gender equality initiatives.

We work with clients who want to talk to and connect with women in an inclusive way.

We love working with women and bringing them together to support, discuss and develop ideas. We host a regular net working event, South London (when conditions allow).
